Oh, those who don't make bail are much more amenable to a plea. They've got their time in, and guilty or innocent, they want to go home. Generally.

But sometimes there are other factors. Sometimes you're not trying to get a client to plea out so much as you're trying to get him to do something else. Like, for example, agree to cooperate against a co-defendant. Or drop his civil suit against the police. Sometimes that'd be worth it in exchange for a great plea deal, sometimes not. But there's more factor to weigh in these decisions than plea or trial.
